Economic Lunch Diet

A good local plate lunch can cost anywhere $8-$12. The USDA estimates the weekly average lunch meals for an adult in Hawaii is $60.40. Multiply that by 52 week and annual $3,244.80 a year.
The Economic Lunch Diet is simple.... all you need is 5 people that can cook & $15 a day.  Each day one person is tasked to feed five people lunch. It doesn’t matter what you make (with certain dietary allergic exceptions) as long as it only cost $15 to make.
Rules:
1.       You can only spend $15 and must feed 5 people
2.       The $15 is a total of what you spend. Receiving ingredients as gifts or donations do not count to over all $15 budget.
3.       If you are sick or on vacation when it is your turn to prepare a meal you have to pay $15
4.       The Extra Value Menu can be substituted, but highly frowned on.
